Download Trouble-shooting:
All our downloads are held on a server operated by Payloadz. They are sent out automatically and always work unless the Payloadz site is down, which is a very rare.
Rest assured, if something is going wrong with the download process, it’s not the file that is faulty!
We will always do a our best to help, but please read the trouble-shooting instructions below before contact us, as the problem can usually be rectified here.
Problem: I LEFT clicked on the file name and it just plays but doesn’t save it to my computer?
Answer:
The most straightforward way to save the file on your PC or laptop is to RIGHT click on the File name on the Here To Listen page that opens once you open the link in the email you received.
By RIGHT clicking, you should get a drop down menu with the option to “SAVE AS” or “SAVE TARGET”. This enables you to save the file to any destination your PC or Laptop.
Note: you cannot transfer this file directly onto your mp3 player or phone, this is because you are
downloading a zipped (compressed) FOLDER. The mp3 files are contained within this folder, often accompanied with a word document with instructions for use.
Once you have saved the folder onto your hard drive, you can extract the files and transfer the mp3
files to any media device you wish to, following the instructions of the software you are using or the manufacturer’s instruction for the device you are transferring to. We cannot offer support for this process as there are so many different programs and devices. You can also burn the files to
CD.
Problem: I LEFT clicked on the file name and selected ‘SAVE’ but don’t know where it is now?
Answer:
Depending on what version of Internet Explorer you are using and the version of Windows, you may find that different things happen when you LEFT clicked on the file name and selected ‘SAVE’ instead of ‘SAVE AS’. Sometimes you will see a pop up box at the bottom of the page asking you if you want to open the file or save it. By selecting ‘SAVE’ without saying where to save it to, the file will automatically be sent to a folder on your PC that windows created, called ‘Downloads’ this is a temporary storage folder for downloaded files that are not given a specific destination.
All you have to do it locate this folder. You can go to the ‘START’and type the file name in the search box, or the folder name ‘Downloads’ and it should appear in the list. Or go to My Computer > OS>Users> the name of your pc>downloads. This process may vary depending in which version of windows you are using! If you cannot find it in the Download folder, it may have been sent to your Music Folder, so check there too.
Remember: to avoid this in the future, always right click a file and tell your system where you want your download files to go to by using ‘SAVE AS’ or ‘SAVE TARGET AS’.
Question: What’s a zipped folder and why can’t I transfer the folder straight to my ipod/smartphone?
Our downloads are made up of more than 1 mp3 Track; this is done so that you don’t need to keep listening to the introduction each time you play your session. There is often a word document in this folder too, which cannot be transferred to an mp3 player.
To avoid having to download individual tracks, we have put all the files in one folder and compressed it (also called zipped (.zip) for faster download transfers.
Once you have this folder saved in your system and unzipped it, you can do anything you want to with the files. The mp3 files can be transferred as normal to your mp3 player or phone, or burnt to CD.
We do not offer support for this process because we do not know what operating system you are using, there are many different models of mp3 players and smart phones and lots of different types of media software packages used to transfer media files. We suggest you familiarise yourself with the manufacturer’s instructions of the device you are using and the software product ie itunes.
If you find you are just not technically minded enough to deal with the process of downloading files and saving them, you can always upgrade to a CD version by contacting us, but CDs are more expensive so there will be a charge.
