You will find all our Hypnotherapy sessions easy to listen to, with no gimmicks or subliminal messages. The voice you will hear is that of a female with an English accent.
How long does hypnotherapy take to work?
Everyone responds to Hypnotherapy and Self-Hypnosis differently, just as people do to any form of therapeutic intervention. Some will notice an instant change and for others it may take longer, but even when it feels that nothing at all has actually happened, you’ll be surprised at just how much has changed, but this is only noticed in retrospect, when you look back at how you were before you started using self-hypnosis. Just give it time and don’t try too hard to make it happen. You will find that the more often you use self-hypnosis, the easier it will be to achieve a very relaxed state of hypnosis, and the deeper the hypnotic trance state will become.
How and why does hypnosis produce results?
Since hypnosis accesses the creative unconscious part of the mind, where there is no challenge or resistance to new ideas and concepts, the mind becomes receptive and responsive in such a way that it can absorb these new ideas and concepts quickly and easily. Therefore the treatment can be much more effective, and produces longer lasting results than with many other complimentary and alternative forms of therapy.
When Hypnotherapy is used for improving health, the process can actually affect the way the body functions. By focusing on certain biological and physiological aspects of the body, whilst in a state of hypnosis, it is possible to cause blood to flow better, veins to dilate, heart rate to reduce, and white blood cells counts to increase, thus improving the immune system.
By simply listening to one of our self hypnosis recordings, you will become progressively more and more relaxed until you enter a deep, relaxed, hypnotic trance state.
All the tension and stress is eliminated from the body, and as the body relaxes so does the mind. The deep relaxation process will distract the conscious part of your mind, and while this happens, positive suggestions are given directly to the unconscious part of the mind.
Once the unconscious mind is open, it is much more receptive to the information it needs to change the unwanted experience or behaviour you want to stop or change. When you're in a deep, relaxed, state of hypnosis, you will be given 'post hypnotic anchors', which you can use when in a conscious wakeful sate to help activate the changes, such as feeling more
self-confident, determined to lose weight, control a pain or fear, or to quit smoking forever.
How often should I listen?
Self-Hypnosis should be practised daily for the first 7 days, thereafter, use it until your goal is achieved, or when you feel you need to re-affirm the goal you have already achieved. You cannot use self-hypnosis too much!
When should I listen to my hypnosis session?
You can listen to your self hypnosis session anytime you like, but NOT when driving, operating any machinery or carrying out any activity that requires concentration. You should also make sure that you won't be unnecessarily disturbed when you listen to your self hypnosis session. It is important that you allow yourself 40 - 45 minutes in a safe place with peace and quiet.
Will I be in control at all times?
Yes, most certainly, the trance state of Hypnosis can be broken at any time, you will still be able to hear everything, respond to others and be fully conscious to attend to anything that you need to.
What if I fall asleep?
If you hear the count-up at the end of the recording, then you were not asleep, although it may have felt as though you were, and your subconscious mind has absorbed what it needs to. If you are unaware of the end of the recording, then it maybe that you entered into a deep state of sleep. If this the situation, you will have absorbed the information up to the point of sleeping, but not afterwards, so try listening in future in a more upright position, in a well lit room, when you are less tired.
What if I want to buy different Hypnotherapy sessions?
The “Relax and De-Stress” session can be combined with any other titles, but if you are using any other titles, leave at least an hour between them, so that your mind has time to assimilate and absorb the information. Ideally, though, it would be better to resolve one issue before attending to another, as the mind can be overloaded with information, and this could reduce the effectiveness.
Are there any people that should not use Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis?
If you suffer from schizophrenia, paranoia, psychopathy, any psychosis or are violent, then hypnotherapy cannot help you. If you suffer from persistent or chronic symptoms, such as high or low blood pressure, please consult your doctor or practitioner for advice.
Download Trouble-shooting
All our downloads are held on a server operated by Payloadz. They are sent out
automatically and always work unless the Payloadz site is down, which is a very rare.
Rest assured, if something is going wrong with the download process, it’s not the file that is faulty!
We will always do a our best to help, but please read the trouble-shooting instructions below before contacting us, as the problem can usually be rectified here.
Problem: I LEFT clicked on the file name and it just plays but doesn’t save it to my computer!
Answer:
The most straightforward way to save the file on your PC or laptop is to RIGHT click on the File name on the Here To Listen page that opens once you open the link in the email you received.
By RIGHT clicking, you should get a drop down menu with the option to “SAVE AS” or “SAVE TARGET”. This enables you to save the file to any destination on your PC or Laptop.
Note: you cannot transfer this file directly onto your mp3 player or phone, this is because you are downloading a zipped (compressed) FOLDER. The mp3 files are contained within this folder, often accompanied with a word document with instructions for use.
Once you have saved the folder onto your hard drive, you can extract the files and transfer the mp3 files to any media device you wish to, following the instructions of the software you are using or the manufacturer’s instruction for the device you are transferring to. We cannot offer support for this process as there are so many different programs and devices. You can also burn the files to CD.
Problem: I LEFT clicked on the file name and selected ‘SAVE’ but don’t know where it is now?
Answer:
Depending on what version of Internet Explorer you are using and the version of Windows, you may find that different things happen when you LEFT clicked on the file name and selected ‘SAVE’ instead of ‘SAVE AS’. Sometimes you will see a pop up box at the bottom of the page asking you if you want to open the file or save it. By selecting ‘SAVE’ without saying where to save it to, the file will automatically be sent to a folder on your PC that windows created, called ‘Downloads’ this is a temporary storage folder for downloaded files that are not given a specific destination.
All you have to do it locate this folder. You can go to the 'START’and type the file name in the search box, or the folder name ‘Downloads’ and it should appear in the list. Or go to My Computer > OS>Users> the name of your pc>downloads. This process may vary depending in which version of windows you are using!
If you cannot find it in the Download folder, it may have been sent to your Music Folder, so check there too.
Remember: to avoid this with any download, always right click a file and tell your system where you want your download files to go to by using ‘SAVE AS’ or ‘SAVE TARGET AS’
Question: What’s a Zipped Folder and why can’t I transfer the folder to my ipod/smartphone?
Our downloads are made up of more than 1 mp3 Track; this is done so that you don’t need to keep listening to the introduction each time you play your session. There is often a word document in this folder too, which cannot be transferred to an mp3 player.
To avoid having to download individual tracks, we have put all the files in one folder and compressed it for fast download transfers (a compressed folder is also called a zipped folder (.zip)
Once you have this folder saved in your system and unzipped it, you can do anything you want to with the files. The mp3 files can be transferred as normal to your mp3 player or phone, or burnt to CD.
We do not offer support for this process because we do not know what operating system you are using, there are many different models of mp3 players and smart phones and lots of different types of media software packages used to transfer media files. We suggest you familiarise yourself with the manufacturer’s instructions of the device you are using and the software product ie itunes.
If you find you are just not technically minded enough or your computer skills do not extend to downloading files and saving them, you can always upgrade to a CD version by contacting us, but CDs are more expensive so there will be a charge.
